Maxell

Maxell started business in 1960 in Japan, and initially developed mainly alkaline batteries and floppy discs. The company has also pioneered energy sources powering the latest mobile devices as well as rewritable DVD-RAM and other multimedia innovations. Now is a part of the Hitachi group.

This year the company demonstrated its latest 4x DVD-R and 2x DVD-RW media:

Maxell has already developed new 4x DVD+R and 4x DVD+RW media, which displayed on its booth:

Maxell DVD-RAM discs can hold up to 120min of video. The company also offers double-sided 9.4GB DVD-RAM media for data archiving.

DVD-RAM discs are also available for use in DVD video cameras. In the following picture you can see the DRMS-V28R series media which are double sided rewritable, with capacities of 2.6GB, meaning 30min of high quality video per side.
