AOpen Poised to Ship DL-Capable 16X DVD±RW Burners

AOpen Inc. has announced the upcoming launch and shipment of its new DL-capable 16X DVD±RW burners for late July 2004.

The new burners feature write speeds of 16X for various recordable disc media including DVD+R, DVD-R, DVD+RW, DVD-RW, CD-R, and CD-RW. The drives also feature a storage capacity of 8.5GB when using DVD+R DL media, written at 4X, which makes them suited for large data backups, movies, music files, and a wide range of multimedia applications.

The new AOpen DUW1608/ARR 16X DVD Burner is projected to be priced with an MSRP of less than $150 and will come with a 1-year limited warranty.
