Writing Quality Tests

We used Professional 80min 48X CD-R media and burned the same AudioCD project (with CD-Text) at 8X, 12X and 16X. Below you can see the 3T Pit & Land Jitter graphs.

- 3T Pit results

According to the diagram above we can see that the 3T Pit Jitter takes the maximum value at the speed of 16X (28ns). The value is getting lower while the speed reduces. No matter the speed was the Teac had very good results with very low jitter values far beyond the limit of 35ns.

The average 3T Pit Jitter values for all recording speeds are illustrated in the following table.

The speed of 12X had the better value, while the other two were also good. Excellent writing quality.

- 3T Land results

Teac had a very efficient 16X writing speed which archives the best performance from the other at 8X and 12X. The 27ns is an excellent value.

The average 3T Land Jitter values for all recording speeds are illustrated in the following table.

At the 12X speed we had the lower average jitter value while the highest was at the speed of 8X. Once again the results are very good.

- Summary

The average 3T Pit and Land jitter values are below the 35nsec standard for all the recording speeds. The numbers we took are good enough to characterize Teac very good CD-R burner.
