AudioDev shows new products at Replication Expo

Optical Storage Aug 14,2005 0

The complete range of CATS and Go! analyzers for recordable and premastered optical media will be displayed.

During the Replication expo in Shanghai, China, September 7-9, several new products will also be on display at booth 006!

Blu-ray Disc
AudioDev displays its CATS Blu-ray Disc analyzer for R/RE. The Blu-ray Disc analyzer was launched at the Media-Tech Expo in Las Vegas earlier this year and received unbelievable attention. AudioDev’s objective is to launch a family of reference class testers for the blue laser formats. The Blu-ray Disc analyzers will be followed by a HD-DVD analyzer by the end of this year. CATS Blu-ray Disc analyzers are based on a reference drive, developed in cooperation with Toptica Photonics AG. The analyzers are designed to ensure optimum measurement precision. A fully digital environment allows implementation of new parameters and measurements as the blue Blu-ray Disc format evolves.

DVD Recordable
CATS - AudioDev displays its new analyzer CATS DVDR Pro. Manufacturers of recordable media can now achieve reference-class measurements for all recordable DVD formats in one single analyzer. With CATS DVD analyzers being the choice of the majority of disc manufacturing facilities worldwide as well as more than 80 percent of drive manufacturers and material suppliers, AudioDev creates a universal language.

Go! DVD R31
“The Go! concept is a reflection of the changing needs as the recordable optical media matures. It was developed in close cooperation with customers to better understand how their testing needs evolve as they become more adept with the DVD manufacturing processes,” explains Marcus Friman, Product Manager at AudioDev.

High-speed DVD media require new, faster tools in order to ensure disc quality and profitable production. By using Go! and its patent-pending Speedscan technology that enable test of an entire DVD in just 3 minutes, production stability can be supervised and production waste kept at a minimum. Go! offers user-friendliness and state-of-the-art features like NWPW analysis and a high speed servo that measures disc characteristics at 16x speed.
