"..X10.com's next generation Boom 2000 software is the backbone to the MP3 Anywhere 2000 and the one-step software solution for sending MP3 tracks wirelessly from a PC to the best stereo in the most comfortable room in the home.

The Boom 2000 software automatically configures to remotely control MP3 tracks on a PC using X10's handheld remote. The handheld also acts as a universal remote and can even send commands to X10 modules connected to lights and appliances. The remote communicates with the Boom 2000 software via a RF receiver that connects to a free serial port.

The MP3 Anywhere 2000 wireless broadcast system is designed to setup and install in minutes without requiring punching holes in walls or running additional wires. Simply plug the Sending unit into the back of a PC. Plug the Receiving unit into the back of a stereo system. Download any media player available. Install the Boom 2000 software and chill out listening to your favorite tracks and play lists from your MP3 collection. The handheld remote can also control DVD and CD players on a PC
