InterVideo announced that more than 100 million copies of WinDVD, the award winning and market leading software for DVD playback on a PC, have been sold worldwide since its first release in 1999.

WinDVD(R) installations have increased by an additional 25 million units since InterVideo's previous public announcement.

Highly recognized and praised from editors around the world, WinDVD(R) 6 maintains the tradition of excellence of WinDVD(R) the ultimate DVD playback solution. Available in two versions: WinDVD(R) 6 Platinum, the top of the line DVD player with advanced video and audio formats and WinDVD(R) 6 Gold, the standard consumer edition.

Incorporated in WinDVD(R) 6 Platinum is the latest in video technologies such as Trimension(TM) DNM for a flawlessly smooth motion playback, and the first-class suite of audio technologies that now include DVD-Audio(R), Intel(R) High Definition Audio, and Windows(R) Media Video High Definition (WMV-HD) so users can enjoy movies with full fidelity audio and crystal clear video quality. InterVideo markets WinDVD 6 to consumers for desktop and laptop computers running Windows(R) 98/2000/Me/XP.
