PX-716A vs. SA300 - Page 1

For checking exactly what the Plextor PX-716A reports, we used three different media, burned with other writers. The three media have been measured with the well known AudioDev SA300 DVD CATS system at 1X.

The drive is capable of reporting PI/PIF errors, so we will compare those measurements for 2X reading speed and middle accuracy.

Please note that the posted results are only valid for the specific tested Plextor drive. Using other drives, even another PX-716A, can produce totally different results. Be aware!

The trendlines of the Plextor burner are very close to those of the SA300. The values however are totally different.
