CDR Tests

We tested the drive with latest version of Nero Burning Rom. The Optorite supports the 24X (Z-CLV) maximum writing speed.

The 24x writing speed is gradually achieved in a three-step process. Writing starts at 16x in the first minutes of the disc, increases to 20x@8min, and finally reaches the 24x@18min until the end of the disc. The average writing speed is about 23X (22.77X).

- Recording Times

We created a 80min data compilation in Nero Burning Rom burned it to a 700MB disc. The optorite DD0203 needed 242 seconds to finish the task. The Sony drive (24x Z-CLV) is slower with 289sec.
