ASUS has been a leading manufacturer for many PC related products, as well as in the notebook arena. Recently, I needed to buy a new notebook since my old one broke down. I did my usual research, looking over many different manufacturers and models, and I finally decided to go with the ASUS A6JA. Why this model and not something else?

My choice was based on the fact that ASUS produces quality products at an affordable price. And after the price drop of €250 on this model, it made my decision even easier. On a more serious note, the ASUS A6JA covered all my needs for CPU/GPU power with a Wide Screen capability. Don't forget the 2 years global warranty too.

The A6JA can also be ordered in specific regions, with higher CPU (1.83~2.13Ghz), higher resolution screen WSXGA+ (1680*1050) and higher DDR2 memory (667Mhz). In several other regions, the A6JA includes a 5400rpm HDD instead of 4200rpm (in our notebook). So be careful before buying, check the current specifications for your region.
