HP Refreshes Spectre Portfolio With New Processors, Integrated Privacy Screen

HP Irefreshed its HP Spectre 13 and HP Spectre x360 13 laptops, which are now armed with the latest generation processors, longer battery life and better displays in sleeker designs.

HP's Spectre 13 laptop has been built from CNC aluminum and carbon fiber. It is available in Ceramic White with Pale Gold polished accents or Dark Ash Silver with Copper polished accents featuring micro-edge bezels with Corning Gorilla Glass NBT displays in up to 4K high resolution.

The laptop's speakers are placed above the full-size edge-to-edge backlit keyboard for clear sound and comfortable typing. It is powerd by the latest 8th Generation Intel Core i5 and i7 processors, come with up to 1TB PCIe SSD and up to 16 GB LPDDR3 memory.

HP says that the Spectre 13 offers up to 11.5 hours of battery life and is charging from zero percent battery life to 50 percent on a 30 minute charge with HP Fast Charge technology.

The redesigned HP Spectre x360 has a sculpted CNC machined aluminum body with angular lines and it is offered in Natural Silver and Dark Ash Silver with Copper accents. It has micro-edge bezels with Corning Gorilla Glass NBT 13-inch diagonal displays in up to 4K high resolution.

Creators and multitaskers will be delighted by the optimized thermals, performance brought by the latest 8th Generation Intel Core i5 and i7 processors3, memory up to 16 GB LPDDR3 and options up 1TB PCIe SSD.

Safety features include a fingerprint reader located on the side, HP Sure View integrated privacy screen option on Full HD versions to eliminate visual hacking with one quick keystroke, and HP Wide Vision FHD IR camera to login with facial recognition.

The Windows Ink Certified pen delivers a natural drawing and writing experience with simultaneous pen and touch. With tilt, the pen is pressure sensitive for precise inking in any mode. Under the pen is an integrated USB-C rechargeable battery, 15 seconds of charging gives the user up to 198 minutes of use.

The HP Spectre 13 and HP Spectre x360 laptops are available on October 29 starting at $1,299.99 and $1,149.99, respectively.
