Benefits
Just Link Technology
Just Link™ technology overcomes many of the issues in 12x and higher writing speeds to CDs. Since the user's computer may be interrupted for other tasks, CD writing is often interrupted, and the CD write buffer depletes itself. JustLink™ technology can prevent under-runs by predicting when they may occur and then taking control of the writing process, intentionally interrupting the write cycle until the buffer refills and writing can resume exactly where it left off, hence the name Just Link™. Just Link™ technology minimizes the write gap to only 2 microns.

Just Speed Technology
JustSpeed™ is the function that prevents writing error when high writing speed (16x or faster) is selected. When "Just Speed" is ON, the drive decides the most appropriate writing speed according to the result of medium calibration and writes with the speed. This function is changeable in "mode select command", and the default setting is "Just Speed" is ON.

Speed Boost Function
AOpen's CRW4850 CD/ReWriter drive offers "Speed Boost Function". Pls Keeping Push Eject Button for over 5 second, then the busy indicator LED will flash two times. The CD reading speed will decrease from 40X to 50X.Thus will reduce our driver's Noise and Vibration.

Faster Speed
AOpen's CRW4850 CD/ReWriter drive offers unprecedented performance to handle today’s demands by reading CD's at up to 50X speed, writing CD-R disc at super 48X and CD/RW discs at fastest 12X speed. CRW4850 writes a 700 MB CD-R disc within 3 minutes.

High Versatility
The CRW4850 is an ideal all-in-one solution for reading CD's, copying audio/software CD's, creating photo/audio/video CD's, or acting as a storage drive for archiving or backup. The drive comes complete with everything you need to make CD's right away, including bundled software and blank CDs. You can write and read large data files as easily as you would from floppies.

High Reliability
An improved anti-heat design and the OPC design boost recording reliability. Optimum Power Control continually monitors signal levels during recording and adjusts laser power to compensate for a dirty disc. This feature ensures a flat signal, significantly enhancing reliability.

High Compatibility
The CRW4850 supports all major CD formats, offering the user full backward-compatibility through the huge installed base of CDROM drives and media. What’s more, recorded CD-RW media can be played in a DVD player, maintaining future compatibility.
