The DivX Software team has released the DivX Plus Software Beta 9, which promises to offer 10x faster file conversion. Available for download here, DivX Plus Software Beta 9 is available for Windows only and includes a free media server, so you can stream your video collection to any DLNA-compatible device. The software is built on top of an entirely new cross-platform transcoding engine by MainConcept, so it's just faster than before. In addition, it also has support for Intel Quick Sync Video, which means that any Windows machine with a 2nd or 3rd Generation Intel Core processor (Sandy Bridge or Ivy Bridge) can take advantage of hardware accelerated encoding. DivX team claims that this combination can lead to as much as 10x speed advantage over the last Converter release (v8).

The converter also has two new profiles for your iPhones and iPads. With hardware accelerated encoding, DivX Plus Converter will do MP4 files faster.
