Verbatim Vi3000 2TB NVME SSD
1. Introduction / Retail Package
We all know Verbatim mostly for its optical storage products (CD/DVD/Blu-Ray) but as time passed, Verbatim moved also to other storage areas, like Internal/External storage solutions, that also include NVME SSDs. Today we will test and examine a budget-friendly product, the Vi3000 NVME SSD that aims for entry-level users who wish high performance and affordable prices.
The Vi3000 series offer read speeds up to 3300 MB/s and is up to 6x faster than conventional SATA-based SSDs. Verbatim promotes this product as the ultimate upgrade solution for laptop users who wish to enjoy uncompromising reliability when saving their pictures, applications, and important files. Due to the adoption of NVMe technology, the SSD achieves significantly higher IOPS and is perfect for complex applications such as video editing, gaming, and content creation. The durability according to the official specs reaches up to 1200TB for the 2TB version or 5 years of warranty, in par with most other manufacturers.
The retail version of the Verbatim Vi3000 NVME SSD can be found online for ~90 Euro (2TB), while the Vi3000 also offers other capacities (256GB/512GB/1TB), which nowadays seems very low since DRAM storage has dropped in price. The visual design of the product is very good, all needed logos are present for users to take a quick look at the product's performance and overall appearance.
