Plextor Introduces Latest Design 24x DVD ReWriter

Plextor Europe brings the latest internal SATA DVD writer - the 24x PX-880SA, the fastest drive in the the company's optical range. The features a new improved Plextor chassis design that reduces noise and improves writing quality.

While burning at 24x speed, air flow can cause inconvenient acoustic noise within other chassis on the market. Plextor new drive design regulates the air flow , reduces the amount of noise created, and at the same time enhances writing and reading quality.

The PX-880SA incorporates a host of features including PlexERASE, PlexUTILITIES, LightScribe technology, and more . It even bundles Nero 9 Essentials burning software for all your digital media needs.

Offering up to 4 hours of high-quality video recording on an 8.5GB disc, the multi format PX-880SA drive is capable of the following speeds:

- 24x DVD+/- R
- 12x DVD+/- R DL
- 8x DVD+RW
- 6x DVD-RW
- 12x DVD-RAM read & Write
- 16x DVD-ROM
- 48x CD-R
- 32x CD-RW
- 48x CD-ROM

PlexERASE Technology
- Protects users personal and sensitive data
- Safely erases all disc content to ensure full confidentiality

PlexUTILITIES Software
PlexUTILITIES is an advanced application and diagnostic tool that allows users to view basic and advanced drive information, and to measure and control the burn quality of every disc.

Some of the features include:
- Viewing Basic and Advanced Drive information
- Permitting Drive Identification and Control
- Measuring Disc Burning Quality
- Updating software and firmware automatically

The Plextor PX-880SA will be available from end of September 2009 at Plextor's network of dealers. It is covered by Plextor's Fast Warranty Service (2-year warranty in the EU, Norway and Switzerland (Collect & Return); other countries 1-year carry-in).
