AudioDev announces the release of its test and calibration discs for BD-ROM, Single and Dual layer. The discs will be available in a limited number by early October. AudioDev will also release a test and calibration disc for HD DVD-ROM Single layer in November. A disc for the Dual layer format will be released later. “These discs will make a difference for manufacturers and help them ensure disc performance and compatibility between disc and drive”, says Magnus Wikstrand, AudioDev’s Measurement Development Manager.

In parallel, AudioDev develops test and calibration discs for the recordable BD and HD DVD formats. “There are quite many recordable formats and we work actively with them all”, says Magnus Wikstrand. A release date for the recordable test and calibration discs is not yet available.

Another important test and calibration disc will also be released in October for the DVD +R Dual layer, Inverted Stack format.
