Compared to traditional "narrowband" telephony, which works with a reduced acoustic bandwidth and represents a compromise between voice clarity and data rates, HD sound broadband technology uses a much wider transmission spectrum. "The result is greatly improved, more natural sound, not just for voice calls but also for other audio applications like MP3 and internet radio," said Infineon.
