Sony provides BRAVIA XR TV owners with the highest streaming picture quality and the largest collection of IMAX Enhanced movies

Enterprise & IT Sep 5,2022 0

BRAVIA CORE offers a vast selection of some of the latest film releases, blockbusters and classics from Sony Pictures Entertainment – all included with Sony’s BRAVIA XR TVs. Buying and renting movies will now be available[i] for more opportunity to experience content in the highest streaming picture quality of Pure Stream™.

Created in collaboration with Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE), BRAVIA CORE is where entertainment meets technology and was developed to offer incredible feature films and other content in the highest quality to users of Sony TVs. With BRAVIA CORE pre-loaded on all new BRAVIA XR models, such as the recently released award-winning BRAVIA XR MASTER Series A95K QD-OLED TV, users can enjoy a selection of some of the latest premium and classic titles[ii] and the largest IMAX® Enhanced collection. New BRAVIA XR TV owners who sign up for BRAVIA CORE receive up to 10 movie credits to redeem for the latest studio releases and biggest blockbusters including Morbius, Uncharted, Spider-Man™: No Way Home, Ghostbusters: Afterlife, and Cinderella.[iii], and up to two years of unlimited streaming from a great selection of movies from Sony Pictures’ catalogue, all included with the purchase of their TV. For those who have exhausted their movie credits, BRAVIA CORE opens up the possibility to buy and rent selected movies[iv], so that they can continue to enjoy some of the best blockbusters and classics in the highest streaming picture quality of Pure Stream technology, achieving near lossless UHD BD equivalent quality with streaming up to 80 Mbps[v].

Additionally, Sony’s new BRAVIA CORE Calibrated Mode will adjust the image quality on screen to better align with the creator’s original vision, and movies will automatically change to the optimal picture settings to create a truly exceptional at-home movie viewing experience. Users can enjoy a dynamic range with incredibly dazzling lights and deep blacks, as well as beautifully natural mid-tones, with almost no flare or halos around highlights.

For a truly captivating viewing experience at home, BRAVIA CORE also brings access to the largest IMAX Enhanced movie collection. Optimised for BRAVIA XR, it delivers remastered IMAX® picture and immersive sound by DTS. With Studio Access, which is a part of the BRAVIA CORE package, viewers can access a host of extra behind-the-scenes footage, interviews and more.
