The Sony DRU-710A supports up to 48X CAV DAE speed. When using a pressed AudioCD and its CD-R copy with EAC, we measured the following results:

Among the three drives, Sony had the fastest performance due to its 48X reading speed. As EAC reports, the drive caches DAE, supports accurate stream and can report C2 error information.

The Sony DRU-710A received a score of 100 (perfect) in the Nero CD Speed Advanced DAE test. CDSpeed showed that the average reading speed is 33.29X, and that the drive supports reading of SubChannel data. Leadin / Leadout data and CD Text.
