Writing Quality Tests

We used various media and burn them at the maximum writing speed of 48X, with SmartBurn On/Off. The writing quality scores are in the following table:

Sony CRX-210E1 generally gives good results with the media we used for the test. The drive produced a low C1 error rate with the most of the discs, with few exceptions with Mitsubishi Chemicals and Imation media. The error rate increases by the end of the disc, where the writing speed increases. With many media, the drive drops the writing speed at 94-97%, where the writing speed reaches 46-48X, at 32X till the end of the burn. This will protect user from un-readable CDs since this is where most error occur.
