A "hacker" Hacker claims the PS4 has been jailbroken, meaning that those consoles could be be used to run homebrew software or run pirated games. 'CTurt' wrote on his Twitter account that the exploit works only on version 1.76 or older versions of the PS4 firmware. This version is very old meaning that the exploit may not be widespread.

CTurt says that his intentions behind the jailbreaking attempt has nothing to do with piracy.

"People who keep asking for piracy: go away, please," tweeted CTurt.
