Lite-On will add more new external slim DVD writers to their product portfolio. The eSAU108 is a USB-powered, 8X slim DVD writer. The stylish eSAU108 is already available in pearl white and red colors, and will soon be complemented with piano black (from February) and navy blue (from April) colors.

Writing speeds are 8X for DVD±R and DVD+RW, 6X for DVD±R DL and DVD-RW, 5X for DVD-RAM and 24X for CD-R(W). Reading speeds are 8X for DVD-ROM and 24X for CD-ROM.

The eSAU108 has a brother called eSAU208. The eSAU208 has LightScribe direct disc labeling technology as an additional feature included. The eSAU208 is available in black, red and white.

Lite-On external Slim DVD writers are available across Europe for an estimated end user price of €69.
