I-O Data Presents Multi-DVD Burners

Scheduled to appear in the Japanese market in September, the DVD-ABN16R and DVD-ABN16RBK models are based on NEC ND-4550A design. The Japanese company also announced two external versions of the drive. The DVR-UN16R has a USB 2.0 interface, while most demanding users should prefer the DVR-UEN16R equipped with dual USB 2.0/IEEE 1394 connection interfaces.

The basic specifications of those drives include 16X writing for DVD±R, 8x for DVD-RW, 6x for DVD-RW, 8x for DVD+R DL, 6x for DVD-R DL, 5x DVD-RAM, 48x for CD-R and 32x for CD-RW.



In addition, I-O Data unveiled the DVRP-UN8AS external USB 2.0 portable DVD recorder. It offers 4x recording for DVD±R DL, 8x for DVD±R, 8x for DVD-RW, 6x for DVD-RW and is also a 24/20/24 CD-RW drive. The slim and stylish device weighs only 450g and will be available in the Japanese market in the beginning of September.
