Today, HTC announced the HTC One (E8), a more affordble version of the company's One M8 flagship smartphone. The major changes betwen the ne phones are a move from the Duocam 4MP+2MP camera module to a single 13MP module. And in order to keep cost down, HTC has changed the materials, with the E8 to have a new plastic unibody design. The HTC E8 also lacks 802.11ac WiFi capabilities:

HTC has also moved the power button to the top-center position rather than top-left or top-right. The same sensor hub and pedometer remains, which means motion launch gestures will be available along with FitBit integration. The barometer also stays for weather information and faster time to lock for GPS.

HTC said that China will be the launch market for this phone, with worldwide availability coming at a later date.
