The EnGenius EWS357-FIT Access Point comes to fill a gap in the EnGenius product lineup for small businesses who wish to further extend their internal network without the hassle of IT employees and difficult-to-understand settings. The product comes in a simple box with all you need to use the device. To power it up you need to connect it to a PoE-enabled switch and after that withing a few minutes with the EnGenius FitXpress app you will have your new local Wi-Fi network ready.

The build quality of the device is top as we have seen with previous EnGenius products. The product has small dimensions and comes with a metal bottom that acts as a heat cooler. EnGenius has chosen again Qualcomm as its partner and uses a quad-core Qualcomm ARM Cortex A53s CPU clocked at 1.0GHz to power up the product. EnGenius also releases frequent firmware updates that can fix issues, and improve performance and security as well.

The performance of the EWS357-FIT at our office with 3-4 connected devices was very good and all hosts were able either to view/stream Videos and play games in Wi-Fi 6 band, most demanding users could also check the EWS377-FIT that supports higher bandwidth since it has 2.5G local network. There is a limit to the networks you can create (up to 8) and up to 30 devices per network.

Concluding this review, we were more than satisfied with this new lineup of EnGenius network-connected devices the "FIT" series. The EnGenius EWS357-FIT can easily replace your existing AP and with the newly released (and free) EnGenius FitXpress app, you will have little time setup and configure your local network at your liking with a retail price of ~$145.

As a last bonus, EnGenius also promises to release soon web portal of FitXpress app for users who are don't like apps in general or simply want more options.
