Documents to Go Does Vista (Now)

Documents to Go Does Vista (Now)

Smartphones Aug 3,2007 0

Thanks to a new version of the Palm Desktop, those with the Documents To Go suite of applications can now synchronize their Microsoft Office files with a computer running Windows Vista. DocsToGo includes a conduit to let users move Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files between their Palm OS device and a PC. But until recently there has been a problem with this: the Palm Desktop was incompatible with Microsoft's new operating system, which meant that DataViz's application was too. However, that has changed. Last week, Palm, Inc. released a new version of its PC synchronization software that is compatible with Vista. It's still a beta, but that was enough for DataViz to announce preliminary Vista support for DocsToGo. The company has introduced a new version of its suite of Office applications designed to work with Palm Desktop 6.2 Beta 1. This is free update for registered users of version 10. This latest release is only compatible with the Treo 755p, Treo 700p, Treo 680, Treo 650, Palm TX, Z22, and a Tungsten E2. Documents To Go 10.0001 can be downloaded now from DataViz's web site.
