The Crucial X6 2TB portable SSD is an welcomed addition to the Crucial storage lineup with high reading/writing speeds and mostly very compact format. The device is really tiny and will fit at your pocket/bag with only 65grs of weight. The X6 series comes with two capacities for users to choose from 1TB and 2TB with advertised reading speeds up to 540MB/sec. The device, due to its internal flash memory can withstand drops, which we didn't tested to be honest :-)
From our test results we found that the Crucial X6 2TB portable SSD runs cool enough even at high and continue loads and can reach up to 450-460 reading/writing speeds, at least with our test system, which is more than enough for most road warrior use. For higher performance users can look at the Crucial X8 series that pack a real NVME drive at its internals and up to 1GB/sec reading/writing speeds. Passing to the price, the portable SSD really costs much, at least compared with traditional HDDs at the same capacity, however its much faster and lighter to use and transport. The device is also compatible with all the devices you can think about (PC/MAC/Linux/PS5/Xbox, etc).
We have no issue reccomending this drive to all users who wish to get a high capacity portable SSD with excellent 3 year warranty and RMA procedure. If we had to nag for something, we feel Crucial should have included the Type-C to Type-A USB cable for users.
