The be quiet! Dark Power 1000Watt Power Supply gave excellent results with our test system that includes not the latest and greatest GPU from Nvidia (5090), but a later generation (4090). In case you want the absolutely best, we advise you to look for the 1200-watt variant that should keep up with the Nvidia 5090 series.

- Conclusion

The Dark Power 14 series comes as an improvement for the already impressive Dark Power 13 series. The 2025 revision adds a switch to turn on/off the included 135mm fan, and a newly developed aluminum heat sink supports the semi-passive cooling concept and improves the longevity of the components. All the other goodies are included, like high efficiency, compliance with the latest specs and regulations that ensure proper and stable operation for one of the most critical parts of your PC system.

The product's build quality is good, and the system includes high-end quality Japanese capacitors. The Dark Power 14 1000-watt includes four +12V rails, and with a switch at the back, you can transform the power supply to a huge single +12V power rail, giving much better power output control to advanced users and overclockers. Stressing the system, even with the latest AMD/Intel processors and AMD/NVIDIA graphics cards, will have no impact on performance and overall system stability. The retail package is complete and includes a ton of cables, of course, being 100% modular. As happens with most things in life, high performance comes with a high retail price as well, the be quiet! Dark Power 14 1000-watt can be found at 275 Euro (launch price), which is slightly higher than other power supplies that support Titanium certification, but won't have 10 years of warranty, so we feel it's a good retail price after all. We highly suggest the Dark Power 14 series for all users who wish to have the latest and greatest for their power supply unit.
