Tesla Teases With New Emergency Braking System

Tesla Teases With New Emergency Braking System

Enterprise & IT Jul 5,2019 0

Tesla has started teasing new features coming to its cars' Automatic Emergency Braking System through an upcoming update.

As announced via a tweet, Tesla has suggested that its next-generation emergency braking system will be able to save pedestrians from being hit by a car by detecting people on the road. The tweet suggests that even people on cycles can be prevented from car crashes.

Tesla also recently received a five star in collision avoidance car test conducted by British research firm Thatcham Research. The company received the highest rating for its Model 3, meaning that the electric car is capable of avoiding and surviving car crashes.

Volvo, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) use a similar automated braking system.
