Pegasys Inc. has released new update Ver. 2.59 of TMPGEnc Plus 2.5. From this version, it officially corresponded to the newest Intel®Pentium®4 processor of HT technology. Hyper–Threading technology (HT technology) is the technology, which improves the operating efficiency of processor by regarding the physical processor with one OS or one application as two logical processors. In this way, multi-task processing and multithread application processing are vastly improved. Therefore, in case of TMPGEnc, by making HT technology effective, the encoding time of MPEG is speeded up to the maximum 36.6% (our company’s primary evaluation result).
