LiteOn Officially Releases Its First Drive with DVD-RAM Support

LITE-ON IT releases its first ATAPI / E-IDE Super AllWrite Drive: SHM-165P6S. This Super AllWrite Drive can support all of DVD formats: DVD+R/+RW, DVD-R/-RW, DVD-RAM. SHM-165P6S is able to rewrite certified DVD-RAM media at 5X maximum, write DVD+R DL ( Double Layer ) media at 8X maximum & DVD-R DL ( Dual Layer ) media at 4X maximum, write single layer DVD+R & DVD-R at 16X maximum, rewrite High-Speed DVD+RW at 8X maximum, rewrite High-Speed DVD-RW at 6X maximum, and read DVD-ROM media at 16X maximum.

This drive is also an Ultra-Speed CD-RW drive. It can write CD-R media at 48X maximum, rewrite Ultra-Speed CD-RW media at 24X maximum, and read CD-ROM media at 48X maximum.

Built-in SMART-BURN technology provides buffer-under-run-free function and great media compatibility for high-speed writing DVD+R / DVD+RW / DVD-R / DVD-RW / CD-R / CD-RW media. Innovative SMART-X technology provides smooth & stable Audio CD / VCD / DVD playback and high-performance DAE / VCD / DVD data extraction. Power saving function is also ready.

The drive is available now at retailers and stores.
