Reports are circulating that Twitter has striked a deal with Google that will see real-time tweets returning to Google search results.
Bloomberg claims that as soon as a tweet is posted it will become visible in a Google search on the subject in real time. The feed of data will start appearing in the search engine "in the first half of this year."
Such a partnership would help Twitter engage with and eventually attract non-users to the platform.
An official announcement of the partnership is expected on Thursday evening when Twitter presents its quarterly earnings results.
Twitter is also expected to outline new measures to combat trolling and abusive behavior on the platform.
