Our tests were performed under the same conditions with and without the Titan VGA cooler installed. Our testbed was as follows:

  • CPU: Intel E6750 Retail
  • Case: ThermalTake Soprano
  • Motherboard: Asus Blitz Extreme Bios 0904
  • Memory: 2x1GB SuperTalent DDR3-1600CL7
  • PSU: Corsair HX620W, OCZ 720W
  • HDD: WD 80JB
  • Operating system Windows XP with all the latest updates installed
  • Software: Intel Thermal Analysis Tool (TAT) & CoreTemp 0.95.4
  • Thermal Paste: Arctic Cooling TX-2
  • Idle time: ~30min
  • Load time: ~30min
  • Case fan rpm: 1250 rpm (full speed)
  • RPM speed controllable via SmartFan BIOS or via external hardware controller

In order to produce the maximum load for GPU we used Crysis Benchmark - possibly what most hardcore users use to get their system stretched to its limits. Through Crysis Benchmark we set all details to High with 1280x1024 resolution running three demo loops.

Below you can see the GPU temperatures as they were reported by Everest Ultimate Edition 2007. The performance in all cases was very good; we had an almost 40% less temperature compared to a passively cooled system:

- Final thoughts

The Titan Twin Turbo VGA Cooler TTC-CSC88TZ managed to keep the temperature of our GPU down. The noise levels weren't so bad either -we measured around 3dB more with the Titan VGA cooler installed.

The device costs around 30~40 Euro, which is reasonable for a simple and compact system that will efficiently cool down your newly bought graphics card. On the weak side, we should mention the lack of support for the Nvidia 8800GT/GTS series, and we would welcome a printed manual with instructions inside the retail box.
