According to DigiTimes, Quanta Storage, a Taiwanese optical disc drive manufacturer, will shift its main product development from half-height (H/H) DVD burners to slim DVD burners.

Quanta Storage began developing H/H DVD burners in 2003. After experiencing increased price competition for H/H DVD burners and slim combos, the company has decided to instead focus on slim DVD burners.
