Nero Introduces Nero Multimedia Suite 10 Platinum HD, Nero Video Premium HD, Adds BD-Live Support To Software Portofolio
Nero today introduced two new high definition solutions: Nero Multimedia Suite 10 Platinum HD and Nero Video Premium HD. The company also received BD-Live (BD-Profile 2.0) certification from the Blu-ray Disc Association.
Nero Multimedia Suite 10 Platinum HD builds upon the company's 3-in-1 multimedia management tools introduced earlier this year in Nero Multimedia Suite 10, which focused on video editing, burning and backup.
With Nero Multimedia Suite 10 Platinum HD, Nero completes the High Definition experience with the introduction of Blu-ray playback capabilities and new tools to help create, edit, burn, backup and share HD content. It incorporates BD-Live 2.0 Blu-ray disc playback, the Move It plug-in for easy media transfer and conversion between mobile devices and PC, as well as the Nero Creative Collection Pack 1 with new Picture-in-Picture (PiP) effects, as well as additional transition effects and Movie Themes.
Nero Video Premium HD blends the video editing capabilities of Nero Vision Xtra with myriad creative effects and Blu-ray playback to simplify the task of video editing.
The three components of the original Nero Multimedia Suite 10 have also been updated and enhanced. The most notable improvements in MediaHub 10.5 include compatibility with Apple devices and iTunes, as well as enhanced real-time slide show playback. Nero Vision 7.2 delivers improved video format support, enabling users to export movies to Flash Video (.flv), as well as improved background rendering, enabling better real-time previews of effect heavy sequences.
Nero Multimedia Suite 10 Platinum HD includes the new Nero Blu-ray plug-in, Nero Move It Plug-in and the Nero Creative Collection Pack 1, while Nero Video Premium HD includes the Nero Blu-ray plug-in and the Nero Creative Collection Pack 1.

Featured within the Nero MediaHub component of the products, users can now playback and author Blu-ray discs and all other commercial and personal titles in any common video format.

Featured within MediaHub (in Nero Multimedia Suite 10 Platinum HD only), Nero Move It allows users to browse and manage media directly from any portable multimedia device, enabling direct access to their content. It transfers content and automatically transcodes media into matching file formats for mobile devices like the iPad or iPhone.

The Nero Creative Collection Pack 1 enhances Nero Vision Xtra with new feature sets that allow for easier video editing. The Creative Collection Pack offers a set of new simple-to-use creative movie themes, integrating high quality video transitions. In addition to the BD-Live functionality and its video editing capabilities, Nero also supports BD-Profile 1.1 (BonusView), a feature that introduces Picture-in-Picture (PiP) functionality to enable movie-watchers to view an inset window like a video commentary in which a director or actor discuss a scene rolling in the background.
