The LiteON SOHW-1633S supports the BookType Setting for DVD-R/+RW formats, as expected, since all LiteON DVD recorders support this feature. Users should change to the preferred booktype setting prior to burning +R, +RW or +R9 media. Of'course, -R and -RW media booktype changes are not supported, as usual.

We used KProbe to easily change the default booktype setting for several +R, +RW and +R9 media. Default booktype setting was set to normal DVD+R (for DVD+R media):
