2. Retail Package
The retail box of the EPOMAKER Carbon 60 has a simple blueish design with several logos on the front.
Everything is well protected, the main keyboard is inside a plastic protective shell, while there is a carton around the keyboard for transportation protection:
Inside the retail box, you will find the main keyboard, a printed manual, a type-C connection cable (1.6M length), keycap pullers, two replacement switches, a USB 2.4G Type-A dongle and two replacement keycaps for ESC and ENTER (black color).
The Carbon 60 comes only in black with a price tag of $129.99. There are two different types of mechanical switches, Garaton low Red switch 2.0 and Garaton low Brown Switch 2.0. The full specifications of both mechanical switches are listed below.
The Gateron KS-33 Low Profile 2.0 Switch is upgraded from the original KS-27 Low Profile Switch. It is one of the best ultra-slim mechanical keyboard switches that feature longer pre-travel and travel distances than the previous KS-27, but still actuates quicker than the normal profile switch. It not only ensures a fast, comfortable, and smooth fingertip feel but also reduces accidental keystrokes. If you enjoy lightning-speed typing or fast-paced gaming, this is your ideal match. In general, the Red switches have lower sound levels and feel linear, while the brown switches have more tactile feedback and are louder.
The HE 68 Magis is a 60% ANSI US layout-sized keyboard and includes 61 keys. The product dimensions are 297*102.3*26.7mm with an overall weight of 0.50kg, There are included 3 layers of sound dampening, a Sandwich Pad, a Switch Pad, and a Bottom Foam for less noise. The Keycaps have a DSA Low Profile while they build upon ABS Plastic, for extended durability and overall type experience and comfort while typing. All keys are hot-swappable and include per-key South-facing RGB. The Plate Material is Carbon Fiber based and there is no indication about the exact composition.
The keyboard has a natural typing angle with a Front Height of 22.5mm and a Back Height of 26.7mm. There is no palm rest included (as with most EPOMAKER products).
On the left side, there is a blue lanyard for hanging the keyboard if you like, a cool design touch. The ESC left button also has a blueish color ascent.
There are no dedicated LEDs for the light indicator, however, the FN key is being used:
- Low battery: Red light blinks for 3 times and then back to current backlight effect
- Charging: Red light on for 5 seconds and then back to current backlight effect
- Fully charged: Backlight Effect
When pressing down the FN key, the Q/W/E/R/T and A/S keys light up white indicating current connectivity and operation system.
- Caps key: White light on when it is locked
- Win Key: White light on when it is locked
- L_Ctrl Key: White light on when Num row is swapped to Function row
All keys are back-illuminated with several lighting effects:

, while can be full-key hot swapping. There is also an anti-ghosting system called N-key Rollover, while many operating systems are supported by Windows Vista /7/8/10/11, MAC, and Android. Users can also use various shortcuts to control several important functions like:

At the bottom area, users will find four anti-slip pads, while there are no raisers to further adjust the keyboard.
At the back users will find the USB Type C to connect the keyboard to the host and there is also an on/off switch.
Toggle the switch to the ON side, make sure the keyboard is in wireless connectivity mode.
- Hold FN+Q/W/E until the light indicator flashes quickly, the keyboard is ready to pair 2.Open up your Bluetooth device and find the name “Carbon60-1”, “Carbon60-2”, or “Carbon60-3” and connect
- When the keyboard is connected to your device via Bluetooth, the light indicator stop flashing and back to current backlight status, the connection is done.
- Short press FN+Q/W/E to toggle among Bluetooth device 1/2/3
Toggle the switch to the ON side, make sure the keyboard is in wireless connectivity mode.
- .Press FN+R and the light indicator flashes slowly
- Insert the 2.4G dongle to your device
- 3.When the keyboard is connected to your device via 2.4G, the light indicator stop flash and back to current backlight status, the connection is done.
*Note: Hold FN+R for 3-5s until the indicator flashes quickly, the keyboard is ready to repair the 2.4G receiver.
To check the battery levels, Hold FN+P, the keys from 1 to 0 light up green to show the battery percentage. For example, if the keys from 1 to 6- light up green when holding the FN+P, it means that the battery life is currently 60%; if keys from 1 to 0 light up green, the battery life is 100%. The battery charges under either wireless or wired mode, as long as the keyboard is plugged in.
All keys can be removed with the included tool and serviced or changed. You can replace different switches, and customize the tactile and auditory feedback you like, and is compatible with most three/five-pin pivot base mechanical switches.
There is a sleep mode with this keyboard:
- Light Sleep Mode: When there is no keypress for 5 minutes, the keyboard will go into light sleep mode and backlight will be off. Press any keys to wake the keyboard
- Deep Sleep Mode: When there is no keypress for 30 minutes, the keyboard will go into deep sleep mode, backlight will be off and the keyboard will be disconnected. Press any keys to wake the keyboard and reconnect back to device.
