Corsair Announces the Strafe RGB Silent Mechanical Keyboard, Katar Gaming Mouse

Corsair has made available Strafe RGB Silent mechanical keyboard based on the new Cherry MX Silent keyswitch. The company also announced the new Katar Gaming Mouse and MM300 Gaming Mouse Pad. With a noise dampening system integrated into each key, the Strafe RGB Silent offers all the precision and feel of Cherry MX mechanical key switches, but up to 30% quieter.

Rather than using rubber O-rings or other quick-fix external fittings to reduce key noise, the Cherry MX Silent uses a noise reduction system built into every key, reducing key bottoming-out and spring-back noise.

With an on-board controller and Cherry MX RGB lighting, the Strafe RGB Silent offers gamers individual multi-color dynamic backlighting for unlimited lighting customization and effects. To make customization easier Corsair's RGB Share service allows users to download lighting profiles.

A USB pass-through port allows the connection of a mouse, gaming headset or phone to a PC, while a full-length wrist rest offers comfort for long gaming sessions. Gaming grade circuitry provides 100% anti-ghosting and full 104 key rollover ensuring every critical key press registers, and with two included sets of custom textured and contoured keycaps, vital keys offer enhanced grip and feel for FPS or MOBA games.

The Strafe RGB Silent has an MSRP of £139.99 Inc. VAT and is backed by a two-year warranty.

Corsair also today announced the new Katar Gaming Mouse and MM300 Gaming Mouse Pad, further expanding its range of gaming peripherals.

The Corsair Katar boasts a 8,000 DPI optical sensor for accuracy and precise tracking whatever speed you move the mouse. Katar's compact and lightweight 85g design makes it comfortable to play with all day, whether you're left or right-handed, and features rubber side grips.

Pro Player Mode allows gamers to take advantage of pre-configured performance and tuning settings used by the world's top players. For those who want to play their own way, four programmable buttons allow you to take control with customization options, for anything from a simple re-map, to applying complex multi-stage macros. A 1,000Hz polling rate pushes the USB protocol to its limit, ensuring even the smallest movement is relayed instantly to your game and with on-the-fly DPI tuning, you can adapt your mouse's sensitivity to suit any situation.

The Katar Gaming mouse is available immediately.

The MM300 range of Gaming mouse pads are ptimized for both laser and optical sensors. They feature 3mm deep textile-weave material designed for pixel-precise movement and control, while their reinforced stitched edges guard against surface peeling or fraying. The pads are available in three different sizes; Small, Medium and Extended.

The MM300 range of mouse mats will be available in November 2015.
