For our tests, we received the full lineup of the Silent Wings 4 series, including the PRO models. With the 120mm size, you have three options, the 120mm PWM, the 120 PWM High-Speed, and the 120mm PRO model.

Opening the Silent Wings Pro 4 model unveils its contents,

There is a small box that includes four white radiator-optimized fan corners, four white rubber and four white hard plastic mountings, four white push-pins, four black fan screws, and a printed manual. We would like also the mounting screws to be white as well.

The Silent Wings PRO 4 120mm has a squared design with a standard 120 x 120 x 25 size that fits all 120mm enabled PC cases and CPU coolers. Its weight is around 227gr and has FDB Bearing technology and hosts a 6-pole fan motor. There is an installed 4-pin PWM 500mm long cable to reach even the most distant motherboard head pins. There are nine (9) blade designs with the 120mm PRO series, optimized for speed and low noise levels.

At the back users will find a "switch" that either reduces or increases fan rotation speeds and overall performance/noise levels.

A the M (normal) mode, below you can find the rotation curve and the maximum rotating speed (0~1640rpm).

At the HS (High Speed) switch setting, rotation rumps up to ~2500rpm with a different rotation curve.

While at the UHS switch mode (Ultra High Speed), rotation reaches ~3000rpm which boosts performance and noise levels as well. You should expect around 36.9dB of noise with that setting. The lifespan of the Silent Wings 4 Pro series is rated at 300,000 (h / 25°C)

At the top of the 120mm PRO model, there is the be quiet! printed logo, nice detail.

The 120mm Silent Wings 4 also has a similar design with two boxes, the accessories and the main box that includes the product.

The accessories box includes four white push pins, four black mounting screws, and four white hard plastic washers and also you can find a printed manual included at the bottom of the retail box.

The Silent Wings 4 120mm has a squared design with a standard 120 x 120 x 25 size that fits all 120mm enabled PC cases and CPU coolers. Its weight is around 190gr and has FDB Bearing technology and hosts a 6-pole fan motor. There is an installed 4-pin PWM 500mm long cable to reach even the most distant motherboard head pins. There are nine (9) blade designs as with the 120mm PRO series, optimized for speed and low noise levels.

At the back you will find product information and the rotation speed, which is 1600rpm for the normal model

and up to 2500rpm for the High-Speed Model

At the four corners, you will find a pre-installed mounting option with a push-pin design.

Passing to the 140mm models, we will also find three different variations, as happened with the 120mm series.

The 140mm PWM Silent Wings Pro 4 fan, comes at a standard 140x140x25mm size, which is industry standard after all. The product has a very good appearance and design and you can see the change in the rotating blades, which have been improved for higher performance and higher static pressure. On the technical side, be quiet! included a smooth 6-pole fan motor with fluid-dynamic bearings that are state-of-the-art technology. There are seven (7) blades for the 140mm PWM model. All Silent Wings Pro 4 models have a PWM function (4-pin power) and we liked the fact that the power plug is bigger than usual to help us installing on those tight PC case corners. Silent Wings Pro 4 series has three mounting options in the scope of delivery. The anti-vibration mounting reduces noise-generating vibrations to a minimum and is pre-determined for use in PC cases. For radiators and heat sinks, plastic mounting is the first choice. The radiator corners, exclusive to Silent Wings Pro 4, are specially designed for radiators. All fan corners are swappable without additional tools, making Silent Wings 4 fans even more variable. The PWM motor control has improved fan magnets. They reduce the noise so the predecessor‘s level can be reached despite a higher performance. The funnel-shaped air inlet of the predecessor maximized the airflow. Silent Wings 4, however, has the funnel shape now on the air outlets, which makes for higher air pressure and underlines the performant design of the fan.

Again in the PRO model, you will find a switch to change the rotation speeds of the product

Silent Wings 4 Pro M fan switch setting

Silent Wings 4 Pro HS fan switch setting

Silent Wings 4 Pro UHS fan switch setting

The other two variations offer a fixed maximum rotation speed, either at 1100rpm for the normal model

and up to 1900rpm for the High Speed model
