ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) today announced the Azoth 96 HE, the latest addition to the ROG Azoth gaming keyboard series. The Azoth 96 HE boasts a load of upgrades over other series offerings, including ROG HFX V2 magnetic switches, a new 96% layout for versatility, and up to 8000Hz polling rate. It also features a 1.47-inch full-color touchscreen and a three-way knob for onboard adjustment of actuation points and other settings.

Hot-swappable ROG HFX V2 magnetic switches and ROG Hall sensor
The Azoth 96 HE is an enthusiast-grade custom keyboard with top-tier gaming potential. Instead of ROG NX switches found on other models in the series, it features ROG HFX V2 magnetic switches. Actuation point can be customized from 0.1–3.5mm, with precise 0.01mm-step tuning for refined keystrokes.

The Azoth 96 HE also features the ROG Hall sensor, which offers high-precision 0.01mm keystroke detection, greater magnetic flux tolerance for smoother and more reliable input, plus improved power efficiency. Each keyboard undergoes a multi-stage calibration process during production where the travel distance of each key precisely logged. This data feeds into the algorithm for enhanced control, delivering consistently accurate (with minimal tolerance) and ultra-responsive Rapid Trigger performance.

Tri-mode connectivity
The Azoth 96 HE can be connected to up to five devices simultaneously via ROG SpeedNova 8K wireless technology, wired USB, and Bluetooth®. The keyboard also offers true 8000Hz polling rate in both ROG SpeedNova 8K wireless and wired modes, without the need for a booster accessory.

Full-color OLED touchscreen
The 1.47-inch full-color touchscreen of the Azoth 96 HE displays vital keyboard and system information, and is identical to the one found in the flagship Azoth Extreme. The keyboard includes a three-way knob to cycle through various settings, as well as on-board adjustment of actuation point and trigger sensitivity.

Gasket mount and 6-layer dampening
The Azoth 96 HE ensures a cushioned typing feel with its four PORON® layers, IXPE pad and silicone pad — all of which help absorb vibrations and switch-pinging noises. The gasket softness can be adjusted by swapping out underlying dampening layers.

Refined design
The metal finish of the top cover of the Azoth 96 HE provides a premium look. Gamers can further customize the keyboard with the unique translucent keycaps with ROG markings.

ROG HFX magnetic switches
ROG HFX magnetic switches are engineered and pre-lubed for a solid feel with lightning-fast, ultra-precise performance and a 100-million-keypress lifespan. Designed for smooth keystrokes, the switch stem and bottom housing are made of POM plastic, with a polycarbonate top housing. Additionally, the walled stem design enhances stability and keeps out dust.

An adjustable 0.1–4.0mm actuation range caters to all typing preferences. Tweaking the actuation point can be done via the multifunction button and touch panel, or through Gear Link software.

In Speed Tap mode, as soon as the system detects the input of two keys (e.g., A and D), it prioritizes the last input and automatically releases the previous one. This means pressing two opposing directional keys during FPS games will no longer cause the character to stop moving. Instead, directional changes can now be done immediately simply by releasing the previous key, eliminating any time gap for counter-strafing and ensuring precise aim every time.

Rapid Trigger toggle
Traditional mechanical switches require a return to the reset point before the next click registers. With ROG HFX magnetic switches and the Rapid Trigger feature, the switch resets instantly as it moves upward, delivering maximum strafing potential with minimal effort. Unlike most competitor keyboards that require the user to access keyboard software menus to activate or deactivate Rapid Trigger mode, the Falchion Ace HFX ZywOo Edition has a built-in toggle for convenient switching between normal typing mode and Rapid Trigger mode for the fastest typing response and key repeat rate.

8000Hz polling rate
The 8000Hz polling rate of the Falchion Ace HFX ZywOo Edition results in a 0.125ms response time — up to 8X faster than competitor keyboards.

Enhanced typing experiences
Integrated five-layer dampening and a silicone gasket mount absorb pinging noises and provide a more cushioned typing feel for enhanced typing experiences. Competitor gaming keyboards as well as keyboards with analog switches are unable to match the keystroke acoustics of the Falchion Ace HFX ZywOo Edition.

Additional features
The Falchion Ace HFX ZywOo Edition features two USB-C® ports on either side of the rear edge of the keyboard, allowing users to connect two PCs simultaneously and quick-toggle between them. The placement of the ports also allow for more flexible, neater setups.

A bundled keyboard cover keeps dust away from the Falchion Ace HFX ZywOo Edition when not in use. It can also be placed under the keyboard as a tray mount.

The Falchion Ace HFX ZywOo Edition has two pairs of keyboard feet of different heights, giving it three ergonomic tilt angles to suit gamer preferences.
