Acer Brings the C250i Portable Projector with Multi-Angle Projection and Auto-Portrait Mode to the U.S.

Acer Brings the C250i Portable Projector with Multi-Angle Projection and Auto-Portrait Mode to the U.S.

Consumer Electronics May 5,2020 0

The Acer C250i portable LED wireless projector with stand-free multi-angle orientation and auto-portrait mode is now available in the United States.

This new portable projector weighs just 1.75 lbs. and supports high-definition 1080p imagery and the easy sharing of smartphone content almost anywhere.

The portable Acer C250i's auto-portrait mode makes projecting content from a smartphone simple, while its design enables multi-angle projection without a stand.

Unlike other projectors limited to horizontal throws, the C250i supports stand-free multi-angle projection with its twisted roll design. This space-saving form factor is offers flexibility in projecting smartphone screen onto walls, ceilings and almost any surface without requiring a stand or tripod. Placed on its side, users can “roll” the projector to find the best angle for viewing content; vertical orientation supports horizontal wall throws and activates the auto-portrait mode. Created for everyday use, the integrated G-sensor automatically projects images exactly as they’re shown on a smartphone screen without changing any settings. The Acer C250i’s auto-portrait mode lets consumers directly project portrait video chatting or live-streaming sessions (on Facebook or Instagram, for example) wirelessly, utilizing the full projection surface without black bars on the side.

The embedded 9,000mAh battery provides up to 5 hours of renewable battery life on a single charge and serves as a portable power bank to recharge phones on the go. Its LED module offers up to a 30,000-hour lifespan, a wide color gamut that is 100 percent NTSC-compatible, 300 ANSI lumens brightness, and a 5,000:1 contrast ratio. A built-in 5W Bluetooth speaker delivers audio for movies, music and games.

Both Android and iOS users can connect to the C250i wirelessly for cable-free projection at home or on the road. It also includes a standard HDMI port for connecting and viewing content on a laptop or desktop computer. USB Type-C and Type-A ports support video-out for both smartphones and PCs. The projector is 100% plug and play, so no additional software or drivers are required. The USB Type-A port allows direct multimedia playback from a USB drive.

The Acer C250i projector is available in the United States at leading retailers with a one year limited parts and labor warranty for USD $499.99 (MSRP).
