Toshiba has made available in the U.S. the Portege WT20-B2100, a tablet designed for business uses. Powered by the Intel Core M processor, the device features a 12.5-inch Full HD IPS display and delivers up to a 9.1-hour battery life rating.

Built with a magnesium alloy, the tablet weighs 1.6 pounds. The tablet screen is offering 10-point multi-touch Windows 8.1 Professional, along with and fingerprint resistant and anti-glare coating.

The device features the new M.2 SSD interface with a 128GB solid state drive and 4GB of on-board LPDDR3 memory. The available sensors include ambient light, gyroscope and an e-compass. The device also includes 802.11ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth v4.0.

The Portege WT20-B2100 offers a number of features designed to help keep a business' critical data safe, including Toshiba's EasyGuard suite and Trusted Platform Module (TPM) which helps safeguard the data on local storage. The Portege WT20 is easy to manage within corporate IT environments with advanced manageability options, including Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI), Toshiba Cloud Client Manager (TCCM) and Toshiba Smart Client Manager 2.0 (TSCM).

The tablet can be connected to all the peripherals a business user might need with a Micro HDMI port, Micro USB port and microSD slot.
