Ulead Adds Double Layer DVD Support to Videostudio 8
Ulead reaffirms its position as a pioneer in technological development by incorporating double-layer DVD burning into VideoStudio 8.
Ulead's five-time Editors' Choice winner for consumer video editing software. Along with VideoStudio 8, Ulead now offers double-layer DVD burning support with DVD MovieFactory 3, Ulead's consumer-level DVD creation software and DVD Workshop 2, Ulead's professional DVD authoring software. With Ulead software, consumers and professionals who own a double-layer DVD burner can now double the size of their digital photos, video and music files used to create DVD productions.
The double-layer DVD is the latest DVD format which offers a longer recording time and/or higher recording quality for video applications. Adding an additional storage layer increases the storage capacity of a DVD disc to 8.5 GB, which allows users to burn approximately 4 hours of DVD-quality video. With nearly double the capacity of a single-layer DVD disc, the increased capacity allows users to burn longer or higher quality DVD productions on one disc. Double layer DVD discs are backwards-compatible and can be played on most DVD players sold in the market today.
