Pioneer announces microSD for dashcam

Pioneer announces microSD for dashcam

Consumer Electronics Feb 16,2026 0

Pioneer will release three types of microSD cards (128 GB / 64 GB / 32 GB) for dashcams that are strong in continuous recording and overwriting. In recent years, with the increase in front and rear dual camera models and 4K compatible models, the amount of recorded data from dashcams has increased, and there are increasing cases where the capacity of the included SD card is insufficient. In addition, with the spread of "parking monitoring functions," there is a growing need for long-term recording, and there is a demand for SD cards with larger capacity and resistance to repeated writing.

The newly released SD cards utilize 3D NAND flash memory, achieving excellent durability against repeated writing and high-speed data processing. Furthermore, thanks to their robust design that meets stringent environmental standards, they can be used safely even in harsh environments such as the temperature changes and vibrations of a vehicle cabin. The lineup includes three types: 128 GB, 64 GB, and 32 GB, allowing you to select the optimal capacity based on the drive recorder you use and the recording time.

Main Features
(1) Uses 3D NAND flash memory for high durability and high-speed processing
The 3D NAND flash memory, which stacks memory cells three-dimensionally, combines large capacity with high durability. It is resistant to the continuous recording and repeated overwriting required for dashcams, allowing for long-term reliable use. The wide-spaced cell structure of the flash memory also reduces errors and enables faster data transfer.

(2) High reliability for safe use even in the harsh environment inside a vehicle
It is equipped with protection against momentary power outages, preventing interruption of recording when the power is cut off due to an accident, etc. It has also passed cold and heat resistance tests that simulate extreme temperature changes, and is resistant to vibration and impact, as well as being waterproof, so it can be used safely even in the harsh environment of a car.

- Specs
capacity: 32GB/64GB/128GB
Maximum Transfer Speed:
Read: up to 95 MB/s
Write: up to 85 MB/s (128GB/64GB)
Write: up to 45 MB/s (32GB)
