Writing Quality Tests - C1 / C2 Error Measurements

The C1 / C2 error rate was measured for the recorded discs, burned during the previous writing tests (jitter). The software used was Plextools v2.11 and the reader was the Plextor Premium drive.

TraxData 52X recorded at 52X with new Firmware G306

We had the opportunity to test the writing quality of the NU with two firmwares. Firstly, we ran with version GX01 and then updated to G306. The above screenshots from Plextools shows that the writing quality of the NU changed when the new firmware was installed. As an example, we cite TraxData which had 23.2 average C2 errors with firmware GX01 and 0 average C2 errors with firmware G306.
