New Plextor PX-B910SA Burns on Blu-ray Discs at 4x

Plextor announced today the release of the PX-B910SA Blu-ray drive. This is the third Blu-ray burner announced by the Japansese company, following the 2x PX-B900A and the 4x PX-B920SA burners, which both retail in the U.S. and Europe.

With the new PX-B910SA, Plextor dropped the support for the the HD DVD format (reading), as it was included in the specifications of the previous model PX-B920SA. The remaining specifications are nevertheless the same:

Plextor did not provide pricing details for the new PX-B910SA, although it is expected to retail in Japan for about JY45,000 ($430).
