Motorola Solutions is looking into a possible sale, Bloomberg
and the Wall Street Journal reported on Friday, citing people familiar with the matter.
Potential buyers could include Raytheon, Honeywell International and General Dynamics, Bloomberg reported. Motorola Solutions is working with financial advisers as it looks for a buyer, Bloomberg cited the sources as saying.
Motorola Solutions declined to comment.
Motorola Solutions makes radio equipment for emergency workers and scanning devices for retailers.
Motorola Inc. first announced a plan to spin off its mobile-phone business in March 2008, amid market share losses. The company delayed the move during the recession, completing the split in January 2011.
