Matsushita Electric Industrial Co has settled its DVD patent dispute with Canada's Cinram International Inc Under an agreement to settle Matsushita's suit filed with a U.S. district court in Delaware in December 2001 against Cinram's alleged infringement of the Japanese firm's DVD patents, the Canadian firm will pay patent royalties as well as a settlement package, Matsushita officials said.
