LG Display is still the supplier of all OLED TV panels to all TV brands, and every year at CES it tries to imagine new applications for its OLED display technology – some of which make it to market.

- "(A) new concept to be showcased by LG Display at CES 2022 is the Media Chair, a modern relaxation device seamlessly combining a 55-inch OLED TV display with an extremely comfortable recliner. The screen boasts a curvature radius of 1,500R, the optimal angle for the user, as well as the company’s built-in sound technology Cinematic Sound OLED (CSO), which enables the display to vibrate to make its own sound without the use of external speakers, offering a vivid sense of reality. The chair display’s pivot function allows the screen to rotate between vertical and horizontal orientations at the touch of a button on the display of the armrest," said LG Display.

The company has also created the Virtual Ride concept where curved OLED screens make the indoor bicycle ride a bit more inspiring. "The Virtual Ride is a futuristic indoor stationary bicycle with three vertical 55-inch OLED displays in front of and above it," said LG Display. "In addition, its futuristic, sleek design takes home exercise to a whole new immersive level, greatly improving the mood and ambiance in whatever room of your home you put it in. The OLED displays provide unparalleled lifelike colors with their vivid picture quality to make you really feel like you are cycling outside in a forest or down the street of a European village."

A third concept tries once again to put transparent OLED displays to use. Transparent screens have been around for years but manufacturers have not found many uses for them yet. "To modernize home life, LG Display is preparing to take the wraps off its latest concept, ‘OLED Shelf,’ which combines two Transparent OLED displays, one above the other, and seamlessly blends into any living room decoration while adding a touch of elegance as it is hanging off from the shelf on the wall. The innovative OLED Shelf is perfect for displaying TV shows or gallery paintings while running in its Always on Display Mode, further demonstrating Transparent OLED displays’ ability to transform any home interior into a living space that exudes modernity."

LG Display added that at CES 2022 it will also introduce new OLED displays, OLED solutions fused with various fields, and high-end LCD panels for monitors.
