LG demonstrates new DVD and Blu-Ray recorders at CES 2004

LG Electronics demonstrates three inovative products at CES this year. The LGXBD420 combines Blu-Ray technology with a Digital Video Recorder. The LGDVDR313 is a multi-format compatible DVD recorder with a compact design, and the LGHDR414 is a Multi-Format DVD Recorder-DVR Combo. The company took top honors among consumer electronics manufacturers, receiving prestigious "CES 2004 Innovations" awards. World's First Combination Blu-Ray Recorder and DVR: LG model LGXBD420 combines Blu-Ray technology with a Digital Video Recorder. The world's first Blu-Ray recorder with built-in DVR features multiple IEEE-1394 inputs and outputs, DVI + HDCP, built-in ATSC and NTSC tuners and a 200-gigabyte hard drive with an easy-to-use Graphical User Interface. Available third quarter 2004.

Ultra-Slim DVD Recorder: LG model LGDVDR313 is a multi-format compatible DVD recorder with a compact design -- measuring only 3.2 inches high. Features include multi-format DVD playback and recording, AV input, 3-in-1 multi-format memory slot and picture in picture (PIP). Connectivity is complemented with DVI + HDCP, IEEE1394, S-Video, Component and Composite outputs. Available second quarter 2004.

Multi-Format DVD Recorder-DVR Combo: LG model LGHDR414 is a multi-format DVD recorder with built-in 80 gigabyte DVR. It can record high-definition programming with its ATSC and NTSC tuners, and offers DVI + HDCP and IEEE-1394 connectivity. Easy-to-use features include high-speed dubbing, Timer recording with an electronic program guide. Available second quarter 2004.
