Barnes & Noble today announced a savings offer on the NOOK HD and NOOK HD+, just in time for the holidays. On Saturday, December 15 and Sunday, December 16, consumers who purchase NOOK HD and NOOK HD+ at any Barnes & Noble store will receive a free $20 Barnes & Noble Gift Card, while supplies last. In addition to giving the gift of reading and entertainment products, shoppers can use the Gift Card to purchase new eBooks, magazines and apps, or an accessory for NOOK.

Nook HD features a 7-inch display and starts at $199 (8GB) and $229 (16GB).

Nook HD+ features a full HD 9-inch display for up to 1080p for movies, magazines and more. It is available for $269 (16GB) and $299 (32GB).
